Unlike other eBook lights, the Kandle by Ozeri is powered by two lifetime x2 LEDs this are optimized to distribute light evenly not including creating glare or eyestrain. But I have only had it a half hour. Nevertheless it makes me VERY happy and no other light I have used has done that for me. It isn't going to mess up my Kindle or its cover if I use it, and it gives me light when and where I need it. I bought a light at the same time I bought the Kindle, it was just okay. But this one is perfect. The three star on durability is only because I won't know how well it holds up until I have it a bit longer. But everything else is five star all the way (including the fact that the vendor provided two extra batteries, it can't get much better than that).

If you've had trouble using a mighty bright lite with your kindle, then try the kandle. I just got mine, and it is wonderful!!! It illuminates the words on my kindle evenly, there is no glare and the light does not slip off the kindle like some of the other lights do!! And believe me, I've tried them all.

This product was great. I liked the performance, look and feel of it, right up to the point where it quit on me the second day I had it. The light was great for my 6" Kindle, though I could see how it might be a stretch to light a larger screen. The clip worked well, both with and without the cover on my kindle. It was a great product, for about a day and a half.

Being the person I am I had to take it apart to see what the problem was. I thought maybe it was something simple I could fix, like a loose connection. I was dissapointed to find that one of the wires was worn through right where the swing arm hinged. It seems to be possibly a design flaw, but I'm assuming a product with so many good reviews, I must have just gotten a lemon.

Unfortunately , because I moved out of the country and needed a light ASAP for a 13-hour plane ride, I had to buy another light at a retail store. It's working well, but it does have a bit of a glare issue I didn't encounter with the Kandle. Overall, other than being shipped a lemon, I would have rated this a 5-star product.
